Abstract :

This reflection places a sustained emphasis on the nature of the alliance between two political forces in the DRC at the end of the recent elections of December 30, 2018, the latter are diametrically opposed but by surprise resulted in a union in order to free a government of political cohabitation. These are the Common Front for Congo and Cape Town for Change. These two partner camps, with asymmetric power relations, in their struggle for ascendancy and effective control of the institutions of the Republic, an unprecedented crisis was born which will be the subject of study in the following lines. It emerges, a kind of sterile and hypocritical cohabitation jeopardizing the survival of this marriage between the FCC and the CACH that we propose to analyze its contours.At the end of the analysis, a constitutional reform which should give the chance for government stability and / or greatly reduce the risks of cohabitation even if it does not eliminate them completely. The return of cohabitation remains inevitable, however, unless there is an in-depth modification of the regime, a modification which seems improbable given the little interest aroused by such a reform among the population, electoral reforms before starting the choices. leaders of the CENI and development, insisting on the fact that we must have real elections in 2023.
