Employee retention is a critical aspect of human resource management that helps organizations maintain a stable and productive workforce. This study examines the effectiveness of employee retention strategies adopted by Waterleaf Consultancy, Hyderabad. The primary objective of the research is to evaluate the factors influencing employee retention and assess employee satisfaction with the existing retention practices implemented by the organization. the study is based on primary and secondary data collected through structured questionnaires, company records, journals, and relevant literature. Various retention factors such as compensation, career growth opportunities, work environment, employee recognition, training and development, and work-life balance were analyzed. The findings indicate that effective retention strategies positively influence employee satisfaction, motivation, commitment, and organizational performance. Employees expressed satisfaction with several retention initiatives; however, certain areas such as career advancement opportunities and reward systems require further improvement. the study concludes that employee retention strategies play a significant role in reducing turnover and enhancing employee engagement. It recommends that Waterleaf Consultancy strengthen its retention practices by focusing on employee development, recognition programs, and continuous feedback mechanisms. The results of this study provide valuable insights for management in designing effective retention policies and contribute to the broader understanding of employee retention in the consulting sector.
