This study developed a Multi-Hazard Preparedness and Response Plan for Malabon City, focusing on flooding and leptospirosis outbreaks caused by typhoons and monsoon rains. Using disaster risk assessments, flood susceptibility maps, and health data, the study identified the barangays of Longos, Catmon, Tonsuya, and Taňong as highly vulnerable to recurrent flooding and increased leptospirosis cases. Guided by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) framework, the plan proposes integrated strategies including flood-control improvements, strengthened healthcare preparedness, sanitation enhancement, and community-based interventions. The study emphasizes the importance of coordinated action among government agencies and communities in reducing disaster risks and improving public health resilience in flood-prone urban areas.
