πŸ“ Abstract
The access to clean water represent a high stake of public health. The accessibility of underground waters in quality has become a difficult challenge to lift up in several towns of the world, in numerous suburbs townships of sub-Saharan Africa’s countries and in Democratic Republic of Congo. These springs of waters used for beverage and the households are vulnerable to different factors of contamination in reason of bad conditions of hygiene and sanitation which consequently bring the persistence and recurrence of hydric diseases.
The objective of this work is to determine the quality of underground waters for instance drilling waters, wells waters and spring waters consumed by habitant of LUTENDELE quarter Mont- Ngafula township, basing, specially , on physic-chemicals analyses of settings below; the temperature (TΒ°), hydrogen potential (pH ), and the electric conductivity (CE) and on analyses of bacteriological settings below: Escherichia Coli( E. Coli), the enterococcus(ENT) and the coliforms totals (CT) done during two seasons (dry and rain).
The analyses have been made in 3 drillings, 2 wells and 2 springs what does a total of 7 sampling. The results of physic-chemicals analyses have shown the values of temperature changing between 25,8 and 29,3Β°C (Certain) some of these values are close to the norm where as others are not accordingly to the norm of 25Β°C recommended by WHO for beverage water.
The results of pH have shown values of pH changing between 3,9 and 4,3 in 6 sites on 7. These values of p are acidic and are not suitable to the norm of WHO which in settled to 6,5-8,5, excepted the site F3 which present a neutral value of 6,21.
The results of electric conductivity have shown values changing between 65,5 and 363. Some of these values are superior and others are inferior to the norm of WHO settled to 200πœ‡π‘†/πΆπ‘š The results of bacteriological analysis have indicated the presence of indicators of fecal pollution below: Escherichia Coli, the enterococcus and the total coliforms. The results of these analyses have shown that the pollution of these waters is most important during the rainy season than the dry season. At all, the results of physic-chemical(analysis) and bacteriological analysis of waters of the riverside consumption of LUTENDELE quarter Mont-Ngafula township aren’t in the most of the case suitable to the norms established by WHO for beverage water and domestic use.
This contamination would be explained by different factors of contamination among which we mention: the proximity of latrines and septic tanks, the transportation of contaminative by flowing water, the bad conception of achievement of catch system of the underground waters, the infiltration of waste or used waters in the ground, miss of maintaining; etc.
