📝 Abstract
Centralized crowdfunding platforms face challenges such as high intermediary fees, limited transparency, and fraud risks. This paper proposes a decentralized crowdfunding framework using Ethereumbased smart contracts to automate campaign creation, milestone-driven fund disbursement, and refund mechanisms without third-party control. A comparative evaluation between Layer-1 Ethereum and Layer-2 solutions like Polygon demonstrates significantly reduced gas fees and improved transaction throughput, enabling cost-effective micro- investments. The proposed architecture enhances scalability, transparency, and security through structured smart contract design and vulnerability mitigation strategies.
